These days I dedicate myself to sharing the mental and physical tools yoga offers—teaching yoga one on one, and in groups as regular classes, workshops and retreats. I also offer private sessions (both in person and online) and retreats teaching various mental and physical techniques and lifestyle hacks to help people create healthy habits that lead to a balanced and happy life.

Teaching yoga is my passion!

BIO

I am registered with Yoga Alliance as an “E-RYT 500” from Yogaworks (E-RYT is the abbreviation for “experienced registered yoga teacher”). Yogic philosophy is central to my personal life philosophy. I have practiced yoga for more than 25 years and have been teaching since 2007. From 2007 to 2011 I ran my own small yoga school in Tahiti, I have taught several yoga retreats and workshops in Greece, Norway and Fuerteventura, and I continue to teach in Fuerteventura where I now reside.

Yoga has been my main philosophical inspiration in life since I was about 16 years old. My most important teachers were taught direct students of Indian Yoga masters BKS Iyengar and Patthabi Jois, and these teachings have influenced me deeply. The philosophy of yoga is basically my « life toolbox » and yoga has given me many of the tools and techniques I use on a daily basis to feel happy, balanced and free. I combine yoga and meditation with a handful of mental-training techniques to be able to guide my mind toward positivity and balance, and I love sharing these techniques and seeing other people thrive!

I believe that the meaning of life is to share, connect, support and encourage each other. There is no doubt in my mind that the true meaning of life is love, and we find love when we recognize how similar we all are. When we see we are all the same, compassion, connection, confidence and cooperation comes naturally. To me yoga is a life-supporting system that helps me find and create balance, love, health and connection in life.

Aside from my yoga history, I have a background as a professional windsurfer, kiteboarder and surfer, and have lived most of my life on islands in the Pacific (Hawaii & Tahiti) and Atlantic (Canary Islands). I continue to surf as much as possible: longboarding is my passion.

As for formal education, I have a Master´s Degree in International Relations (focused on environmental politics), and I am a Montessori teacher. I also cooperate with a local environmental NGO in the work to educate children about ocean conservancy.
